I'm a California-native-turned-Texan who loves a good cup of coffee and being outdoors — just maybe not in the middle of a humid Texas summer! I'm married to my high school sweetheart and homeschool our 5 kids who range in age from 16–7.
My desire to support women in their birth choices came from my traumatic birth experience with my son. I remember sitting in the hospital after he was born, thinking to myself that I would never do this again. Did birth really have to be this way? I started researching, and when I got pregnant with my second baby only 7 months later, my husband and I decided that we would have a home birth. It was a beautiful, healing experience, and I went on to have 3 more babies at home. I learned to believe in my body's ability to do what it was made to do: bring life into this world.
The birthing space has always been sacred to me, hence the name Sacred Birth Doula. My hope is to come alongside a mother as a sister and friend, supporting her as she makes the holy journey into motherhood.

As this was my first home birth I truly didn't know what to expect about the process but she guided me through every contraction from the moment she walked in. She then guided my husband through the process and helped him to help me, which was such an amazing bonding experience for us. She encouraged me through prayer and affirmations the entire time. She believed in me when I didn't think I could keep going and that strength from her gave me the strength I needed to deliver my baby. The support and love I felt from her was unexplainable. We met as strangers, but she left as family. She's a true angel and was meant for this. I cannot recommend her enough. Her support went beyond that of what I had even expected. She also got amazing pictures of our experience, which we so greatly appreciate as our first we had none. On top of that she even brought us an amazing home cooked meal and has non stop checked in on us. God truly placed her in our life at the perfect time because my husband and I could not have imagined going through our son's birth without her. She is truly a blessing!”
